Overnight flight to Munich
Check into hotel & Opening Night at Oktoberfest – We have reserved tables in the World Renowned Hofbrau-Festzelt! The 2nd largest tent at Oktoberfest with room for over 7000 people! Our reservation includes beers and a platter of food. We will drink, eat and be merry on our first night in Munich!
Parade Day at Oktoberfest – Join us in the Streets of Munich to witness the Trachten und Schutzenzug. This parade features thousands of participants dressed in traditional Trachten with marching bands, horse drawn wagons of beer and all the old-world traditions of Oktoberfest. After the Parade, join us at our reserved tables inside the Paulaner Tent for a little Sunday Funday.
Walking Tour of Downtown Munich – After Breakfast, we will enjoy an action-packed walking tour of downtown Munich with one of our favorite local tour guides. During the 4-hour tour, we will visit historic sites throughout the city and learn all about the Bavarian culture and lifestyle. Of course, we will stop and have a beer or two along the way to keep ourselves hydrated and will end with a late lunch at the world famous Hofbrauhaus, where we will raise a stein with legends of this hallowed Bierhall!
Garmisch day trip to the Alps – Just 1 hour south of Munich, we will visit Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which was home to many Americans stationed in Germany after the war. This quintessential Bavarian Mountain town is full of painted Timbered houses and is set at the base of the Bavarian Alps. We will walk through the Partnach Gorge, and for those daring enough, we will climb the 500 steps to enter our own version of the Sound of Music! On top of the mountain, we will grab a beer and a bite before taking the chair lift back down to the bus.
Brewery Tour and Group Dinner – We will visit the World’s oldest Brewery founded in 1040! Weihenstephan is in Freising only 30 mins outside of Munich and not only produces some of the best brews in Germany but is home to the World-Famous Brewing University. For dinner, we will dine in one of the most Beautiful Bierhalls in Germany. Enjoy Authentic Bavarian dishes while drinking what many believe is the best bier in Munich.
Munich Oktoberfest Continues – For our final group event we will enjoy an evening on the Wiese at the Spaten Ox Tent. Be sure to catch a glimpse of the full Ox rotating on the rotisseries in the kitchen. This will be our Farewell Celebration.
Full day at Leisure – Get in that last minute shopping, or visit the Oktoberfest tent you’ve had your eye on, or enjoy all the rides and fun that take place outside the tents!
